Skilltek(www.tekskill.in) is an educational brand of igINDIABIZ(www.igindiabiz.com) group and is involve in Course-ware and Training. Skilltek’s mission is to improve lives through Reading & Learning. We enable anyone anywhere to create and share educational content (as instructors) and to access that educational content to learn (as students). Courses available here are from different resources, instructors and AI content. We consider our marketplace model the best way to offer valuable educational content to our users at through away price. We need rules to keep our platform and services safe for you, us, and our student and instructor community. These Terms apply to all your activities on the Skilltek website(www.tekskill.in) and all media platform.

Publishing course on the Skilltek platform, you must also agree to the Instructor’s Terms. Our website and apps cause communications about your browsing and app activities and app usage to be sent from you to third parties who provide services to Skilltek. By using our Services, you consent to these communications.

An account creation required for most activities on our platform, including to purchase and access content or to submit content for publication. When setting up and maintaining your account, you must provide and continue to provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address. You have complete responsibility for your account and everything that happens on your account, including for any harm or damage (to us or anyone else) caused by someone using your account without your permission. This means you need to be careful with your password. You may not transfer your account to someone else or use someone else’s account. If you contact us to request access to an account, we will not grant you such access unless you can provide us with the information that we need to prove you are the owner of that account. In the event of the death of a user, the account of that user will be closed.

You may not share your account login credentials with anyone else. You are responsible for what happens with your account and Skilltek will not intervene in disputes between students or instructors who have shared account login credentials. You must notify us immediately upon learning that someone else may be using your account without your permission (or if you suspect any other breach of security) by contacting our Support Team. We may request some information from you to confirm that you are indeed the owner of your account.

Students and instructors must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Skilltek and use the Services. If you are younger than 18 but above the required age for consent to use online services where you live (for example, 13 in the US or 16 in Ireland), you may not set up an account, but we encourage you to invite a parent or guardian to open an account and help you access content that is appropriate for you. If you are below this age of consent to use online services, you may not create a Skilltek account. If we discover that you have created an account that violates these rules, we will terminate your account. Under our Instructor Terms, you may be requested to verify your identity before you are authorized to submit content for publication on Skilltek.

What you get when you enroll:

  • License to access, not ownership: Enrolling gives you permission (license) to view the course content on the Skilltek platform, not the right to own it.
  • Lifetime access (with exceptions): Generally, you get lifetime access to the content you enroll in. However, Skilltek can remove access for legal reasons or if it violates their guidelines.
  • Subscription plans are different: Lifetime access doesn’t apply to subscriptions or bonus features. Instructors may also stop offering certain services (like teaching assistance) after enrollment.

Restrictions on using the content:

  • For personal use only: You can only use the content for your own learning, not for commercial purposes.
  • Don’t share or resell: Sharing your login details, downloading the content illegally, or reselling it in any way is strictly prohibited.

Basically:

  • You’re paying to access the course, not to own the content.
  • Use it for your own learning and keep it confidential.

Legalese breakdown:

The legalese clarifies that Skilltek acts as a middleman. Instructors give Skilltek permission to offer their content to students (sublicense). Students get a limited license to view the content, with restrictions on copying, distributing, or modifying it.

Payment :

The prices of content on Skilltek are determined based on the terms of the Instructor Terms and our Promotions Policy.

We occasionally run promotions and sales for our content, during which certain content is available at discounted prices for a set period of time. The price applicable to the content will be the price at the time you complete your purchase of the content (at checkout). Any price offered for particular content may also be different when you are logged into your account from the price available to users who aren’t registered or logged in, because some of our promotions are available only to new users.

We may update your payment methods using information provided by our payment service providers. Check out our Privacy Policy for more details. When you make a purchase, you agree not to use an invalid or unauthorized payment method. If your payment method fails and you still get access to the content you are enrolling in, you agree to pay us the corresponding fees within 30 days of notification from us. We reserve the right to disable access to any content for which we have not received adequate payment.

Refund & Cancellation :

Most of Courses are Virtual and Downloadable, so payment once made and Enrollment finalized, refund of fee will not applicable.

As an instructor, you are responsible for all content that you post, including videos, audios, lectures, quizzes, coding exercises, practice tests, assignments, resources, answers, course landing page content, labs, assessments, and announcements. (termed as Submitted Content).

Instructor will get 80% of course fee{after deducting offer/coupon value(if any)} as received from learner. Instructor may apply for their fee-share amount only on above INR 500. Minimum INR 500 of Instrucror’s share will be kept by Skilltek till their course appeared on website.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you will provide and maintain accurate account information;
  • you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, permissions, and authority to authorize Skilltek to use your Submitted Content as specified in these Terms and the Terms of Use;
  • your Submitted Content will not infringe or misappropriate any third party’s intellectual property rights;
  • you have the required qualifications, credentials, and expertise (including education, training, knowledge, and skill sets) to teach and offer the services that you offer through your Submitted Content and use of the Services; and
  • you will ensure a quality of service that corresponds with the standards of your industry and instruction services in general.

You warrant that you will not:

  • post or provide any inappropriate, offensive, racist, hateful, sexist, pornographic, false, misleading, incorrect, infringing, defamatory or libelous content or information;
  • post or transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, or any other form of solicitation (commercial or otherwise) through the Services or to any user;
  • use the Services for business other than providing tutoring, teaching, and instructional services to students;
  • engage in any activity that would require us to obtain licenses from or pay royalties to any third party, including the need to pay royalties for the public performance of a musical work or sound recording;
  • frame or embed the Services (such as to embed a free version of a course) or otherwise circumvent the Services;
  • impersonate another person or gain unauthorized access to another person’s account;
  • interfere with or otherwise prevent other instructors from providing their services or content; or
  • abuse Skilltek or its sister concerns resources, including support services.
  • If any Instructor’s course is de-listed from the site due to any reason, the deposited share(if any) will not be paid to instructor.

Stay legal and respectful on Skilltek:

Skilltek allows anyone to create and share educational courses. We act as a marketplace, so we don’t check courses for legal problems beforehand. However, we take copyright infringement seriously. Instructors must own the rights to the content they share, and users cannot steal courses from Skilltek.

This policy explains what happens if someone claims a course infringes on their copyright or trademark. We’ll also remove courses if someone copies an instructor’s work and puts it on another platform without permission.

  • Use Skilltek properly: Don’t do anything illegal or that goes against the law in your area.
  • Be responsible for what you post: Reviews, questions, courses, and anything you upload must follow Skilltek’s guidelines and copyright laws.
  • Respect others’ rights: Don’t post content that infringes on someone else’s intellectual property (like copying someone else’s work).
  • Report copyright infringement: If you see someone violating copyrights on Skilltek, let them know.

Consequences of breaking the rules:

  • Account ban: Skilltek can ban your account for serious or repeated offenses.

Students:

  • Ask questions and write reviews: You can ask questions of instructors and leave reviews, but make sure it’s your own work.

Instructors:

  • Follow the same rules: Just like students, instructors must also follow the law and avoid infringing on others’ rights in their courses and communication with students.
  • Understand copyright: Before publishing anything, make sure you understand copyright rules to avoid getting into trouble.

Content removal:

  • Skilltek can remove your content: If your content breaks the law, violates copyright, or goes against Skilltek’s guidelines, they can take it down.
  • We respect copyright: Skilltek follows copyright laws. Account termination:
  • Skilltek can restrict or terminate your account: This means they can limit your ability to use Skilltek, or ban you entirely, for various reasons (not paying fees, violating terms, being inactive, etc.).
  • Termination means losing access: If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your content and Skilltek services.
  • We are not liable for termination: Skilltek is not responsible if they terminate your account.

Copyright infringement:

  • Report copyright infringement: If you find someone infringing your copyright on Skilltek, let them know. Instructors are required to follow copyright laws.
